Bailey Flower Essences is a family business run by Arthur and Christine Bailey and their daughter Rebecca Hunter. The business is based at their home in the rural town of Ilkley within the Yorkshire Dales and most of the flowers used are hand picked from their well-tended garden. Together they run regular training courses on Dowsing and Flower Essences and provide experienced dowsing services for those who need them. Dr Arthur Bailey has a rigorous scientific background but has always had a love of nature and felt particularly drawn towards flowers. He has been involved in healing, meditation, dowsing and flower essences since the 1960's. Now in his 70's, he continues to discover, research and prepare new essences, together with his wife Christine, who has also been involved in the business for over 20 years. Rebecca Hunter has worked with dowsing and flower essences since 1992 and has a wide-ranging understanding of both Bach and Bailey essences. She manages and oversees all the 'behind the scenes' production and administrative functions and has developed what began as a small family business into an efficient online enterprise with a growing range of products and services. Although Arthur devotes most of his time to his essences, dowsing and electronics work, Christine also works part-time as a shiatsu healer and artist and is passionate about pottery, glass and ceramics. When not working upon the flower essences, Rebecca spends most of her time doing family activities with her husband Stephen and young sons Jamie and Oscar.
